DABC Liquor Trucks Carry New Messages

April 20, 2009

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) It might not be the place you’d expect underage drinking prevention messages, but Utah’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control hopes it gets your attention. The messages are on the sides of alcohol delivery trucks. Eleven of them are covered with messages about the dangers of underage drinking and how to prevent it. In Utah, binge drinking begins as early as 6th grade and most parents are unaware of it. The DABC trucks deliver alcohol to liquor stores all across the state and travel about 70,000 miles every year. That’s a lot of eyes who will see these messages.
